Boaz joined Edify in July 2022 as an Education Specialist before transitioning to CCEO and Program Coordinator roles. Prior to joining Edify, Boaz served as the Advocacy, Communication, and Training Officer for the National Alliance of Christian Schools in Burkina Faso for six years. Before that, Boaz worked for Wycliffe for Bible Translators as a Linguist and Translator for nine years to complete the translation of the New Testament in his mother tongue. He has been a part-time Facilitator at the Missiological Institute of Francophone Africa and the Development Associates International’s Leadership program. Boaz also taught French at the secondary school level.
Boaz holds an M.A. in Linguistics from the University of Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso, and a M.Ed. in Learning and Innovation track Christian Education from Driestar Christian University (DCU) in the Netherlands. He also holds a Certificate in Transformational Leadership from the African Center for Contemporary Christianity in Ivory Coast. Boaz continues to learn and is enrolled for a Ph.D. in Christian Education at the Theological University of Apeldoorn (TUA) in the Netherlands.
He is part of the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students (IFES) and is passionate about sharing the Word of God with students. He enjoys reading and writing and has just published his first book of poems. Boaz is married to Johanna and they have two children, Elihou and Esli.
