EDIFY TEAM IN UGANDA
Godfrey Lugoloobi, Country Director
Godfrey Lugoloobi, joined Edify in August 2013 first as the Rwandan Program Director before becoming the Ugandan Country Director in 2019. Prior to joining Edify, Godfrey served as a mentor, leadership coach and English teacher at Cornerstone Leadership Academy for five years. He is a part of Africa Youth Leadership Forum (AYLF), a movement that forms the youth wing of the prayer breakfast movement in Eastern Africa. He was the country coordinator for AYLF Rwanda-chapter and has helped organize leadership seminars in different Universities across East Africa.
Godfrey has a BSc. in Electronics and Telecommunication (with honors) from the Kigali Institute of Science and Technology. He is passionate about developing leaders and motivating others to reach their potential.
Susan Komugisha, Impact Assessment Officer
Susan Komugisha joined Edify in February 2021. Her role is to track progress and measure outcomes of Edify’s interventions in partner schools in Uganda.
Prior to joining Edify, Susan served as a Monitoring Evaluation Accountability and Learning Officer (MEAL-O) at World Vision Uganda for four years. Before taking on the MEAL role, Susan served as a Community Development Facilitator for seven years at World Vision Uganda and as a Sponsorship Data Assistant prior to that.
Susan has a Post Graduate Diploma in Project Monitoring and Evaluation from Uganda Management Institute and a degree in Urban Planning from Makerere University, both located in Kampala, Uganda.
Susan is a servant leader, passionate about serving humanity, especially children. She volunteers as a Sunday school administrator and teacher at her local church.
Annet Mbabazi, Christian Transformation and Training Officer
Annet joined the Edify Rwanda Team in June 2015, serving as a mentor for four years. She then served as a Christian Transformation and Training Officer (CTTO), helping to oversee and develop the Christian Transformation program in Edify partner schools in Rwanda. In October 2020, Annet moved to Uganda to help grow the program there as a CTTO.
Before joining Edify, Annet worked as a Marketing Officer at Graphic Systems Rwanda and volunteered at an orphanage with Africa New Life Ministries.
Annet has a BS in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering with honors from University of Rwanda-College of Science and Technology and an MBA in Project Management through Oklahoma Christian University’s online program. Annet is passionate about serving others, taking part in the transformation of people, and contributing to the development of communities.
Joel Mumbya, Christian Transformation and Training Officer
Joel joined Edify in August 2015 as a mentor before becoming a full-time Christian Transformation and Training Officer in October 2020. His role is to develop, coordinate, and monitor Christian Transformation programs as well as to support, advise, coach, and provide training and technical assistance to field partners to maximize their effectiveness in evangelism and discipleship.
Prior to joining Edify, Joel served as a mentor and teacher at Cornerstone Leadership Academy- Rwanda for two years. He also worked as a teacher, discipleship program coordinator, and patron for school debates at one of the Cornerstone Development Africa schools in Uganda. During this time, he also served as a Coordinator for Gideon International for Kakoge Subcounty Nakasongola District-Uganda.
Joel holds a BA in Education from Kyambogo University – Uganda and an MBA in Theology from International Graduate School of Ministries (IGSM). He is passionate about developing leadership and discipleship skills among students and teachers at different levels.
Edwin Denison O’Mario, Education Technology Integration Officer
Denis joined Edify in May 2021, as an Education Technology Integration Officer. His role is to oversee the education technology program in Uganda.
Prior to joining Edify, Edwin had ten years of experience in the education field. He worked as a Coordinator for Mercy’s Village International and as both Operations Manager and Director of Mercy’s Village Primary School (a program of Mercy’s Village International) based in the northern part of Uganda. He worked as Coordinator, Operations Manager for the Primary School and as a Director of Mercy’s Village Primary School.
Edwin has a BS in Information Technology from Amity University. He is passionate about team building and collaboration.
Rogers Serugo, Christian Transformation and Training Officer
Rogers joined Edify in September 2019 as the Christian Transformation and Training Officer in Uganda. His role is to mobilize potential partner schools, establish new and maintaining existing relationships, coach schools and conduct trainings where necessary, data collection and analysis, and finding creative structures to ensure the sustainability of the program and our partner schools.
Prior to joining Edify, Rogers served as a university Christian leader for three years and Missions Coordinator for Restore the Image of Christ, and for Anointed Divine Healing Word Ministries International for three years. Before that he was an accountant at Rural Electrification Agency and Uganda Investment Authority for two years, and Senior Accountant for Farmers Outlet Uganda Limited for two years.
Rogers has a BSc. in Accounting and Finance, with honors, from Ndejje University. He is passionate about developing leaders and motivating others to reach their potential and see others grow.
Joseph Ssekajja, Christian Transformation and Training Officer
Joseph joined Edify in March 2017 as a mentor with the Cornerstone Leadership Academy program before joining the team full-time as a Christian transformation and training officer (CTTO) in October 2020.
Prior to joining Edify, Joseph taught English and Economics for three years at a local secondary schooI. He is part of the Ekitangaala Transformation High school (ETHS) Alumni Network, a sister school to Cornerstone Leadership Academy (CLA) in Uganda.
He has a BA in Education from Muteesa 1 Royal University with teaching subjets of Economics & History. Joseph also has his Master of Education Planning, Management & Administration from Mount Kenya University (MED). He is passionate about developing a new generation of leaders that will lead to holistic development.
