At Edify, our Core Value “Devoted to Prayer” is foundational to our work. Our global team unites in prayer each week, gathering across continents to seek God’s guidance, wisdom, and strength. This devotion is evident not just internally, but also in praying with school proprietors, financial partners, during trainings, and bringing about a love of prayer to the students we serve. Inspired by 1 Thessalonians 5:17, we aim to “pray without ceasing,” allowing His wisdom to lead us through every challenge and opportunity. Here are five scriptures on prayer that inspire us daily.
- Philippians 4:6-7 (NLT)
“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then, you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”
God transforms worry into freedom. While worry is fleeting, His joy and peace are profound and enduring, replacing anxiety with a calm that surpasses all understanding.
- Mark 11:24 (NLT)
“I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.”
Prayer is a doorway to a deeper relationship with God. It strengthens our faith and aligns our hearts with His will, bringing joy, clarity, and trust in His provision.
- Matthew 6:6 (NLT)
“But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.”
This verse reminds us to seek intimacy with God through quiet, personal prayer. By turning our full attention to Him, we find renewal and reward in His presence.
- Jeremiah 29:12 (NLT)
“In those days when you pray, I will listen.”
God assures us that no prayer is too big or small for Him. He listens intently, offering us His love, comfort, and wisdom in every situation.
- James 5:16 (NLT)
“Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.”
Authenticity in prayer deepens our relationship with God. When we acknowledge our struggles and seek Him sincerely, He works powerfully in our lives, bringing healing and transformation.
At Edify, we are committed to inspiring students with a devotion to prayer and helping them embrace the transformative power of faith. Through Christ-centered education, we pray their lives will be guided by the wisdom found in these five scriptures on prayer, fostering a deep connection with God in all they do.
