With a distinguished career spanning over 15 years, Zekarias has established himself as a leader in development economics, NGO management, consultancy, and education.
Before joining Edify, he coordinated various relief and development projects, gaining extensive experience in humanitarian response and sustainable development. Beyond his professional roles, he co-owns a school in Addis Ababa with his wife. He also has successfully designed monitoring & evaluation systems, conducted feasibility studies, developed project proposals, and trained professionals in entrepreneurship and business planning. Through strategic leadership, he has driven the success of numerous programs, earning recognition for strengthening organizational capacity and fostering meaningful change.
Academically, Zekarias holds an MA in Development Economics from Unity University and a BA in Economics from Mekelle University. He also holds a B2 certification in the French language, further enhancing his ability to engage in international development efforts.
Beyond his professional achievements, Zekarias takes great pride in his role as a husband and father to his son, Josiah. Passionate about driving impactful and transformative development initiatives, he continues to seek opportunities that foster sustainable progress and lasting change.
