Dan joined Edify in July 2025, bringing 36 years of higher education fundraising and leadership experience to his position as Chief Development Officer. Dan came to Edify from Abilene Christian University (ACU), where he served as the Vice President for Advancement. Prior to ACU, Dan was a senior consultant and principal at Marts & Lundy, which followed a 30-year higher education career working in various fundraising and development leadership roles with Harvey Mudd College, Emory University, The University of Texas at Austin, and Penn State University, including 15 years at the vice president level.
Dan holds a BS in Marketing from Penn State University, where he met his wife, Shanin. Dan and Shanin have four amazing adult children, Sasha, Kyle, Elizabeth, and Sam. Throughout their lives and marriage, Dan and Shanin have been engaged in international ministries and have loved serving through their local church in any way God leads them. Dan enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling with Shanin, and is beginning to ease into more age-appropriate activities like golf and learning the guitar (but remains ready to accept an invitation to dive, ride dirt or mountain bikes, or snowboard).
