This year, a long‑held dream took shape: Edify opened its doors in Kenya, after spending some time as an Associate Country. From busy classrooms in Kisumu to vibrant teachers in Nairobi, the journey began — one that brought together school owners, teachers, and communities with a shared vision for Flourishing Godly Nations. At the front lines were Lynnette Kibali Ochieng and Kevin Ogombe, Edify’s first Christ‑Centered Education Officers in Kenya, both deeply rooted in their communities and passionate about seeing young learners flourish.

The Launch

The launch event was full of anticipation. Lynnette shared, “We were overwhelmed, in the best way, by the turnout with over 600 school proprietors in attendance. The energy in the room was electric, and it was clear that the message and mission of Edify deeply resonated.”

In the weeks that followed, Edify’s team in Kenya visited schools across the region, each visit both humbling and hopeful. Many campuses operated with minimal resources, their buildings worn and weathered. Yet, within every lesson and assembly, the resilience of teachers and the joy of students shone through, no matter the circumstances.

Through cluster trainings and group workshops that bring together leaders and teachers from multiple schools, Edify sparks peer-to-peer learning and collaboration. In-school coaching provides practical support tailored to each campus’s unique needs. Monthly gatherings for school owners create space for growth in Christ-like character and build lasting relationships for continued learning.

Looking Ahead

Lynnette expressed her excitement: “Supporting schools in this area is transformational, not only helping them meet curriculum standards but also equipping students with vital 21st-century skills. It’s a huge step forward, and I’m grateful we get to be part of it.” As of September 2025, Edify’s team in Kenya has partnered with approximately 2,714 schools, with strong participation at every in-person training. The momentum is undeniable, and the opportunities ahead are extraordinary.
