UNDERSTANDING THE ISSUE

THE PROBLEM

The Problem

In a word: poverty.

Roughly one billion children worldwide experience multidimensional poverty – meaning they lack necessities like food, water, shelter, education, and health care. 1

It is estimated that 70 percent of 10-year-olds in low- and middle-income countries are unable to understand a simple written text, which is 13 percent worse than pre-COVID-19, exacerbating the global education crisis.2

Further, education is increasingly moving away from absolute truths and a biblical worldview, leaving a gap in spiritual growth and values-based teaching.

For us, that’s a problem.

The Solution

Education is a proven pathway out of physical and spiritual poverty, promoting employment, earnings, health, and poverty reduction.3

We believe long-lasting change comes from an education rooted in Jesus. Integrating a biblical worldview into school curricula can transform the minds and spirits of students, thus breaking spiritual poverty. In tandem with quality education, students grow up to be the world’s next thinkers, innovators, and leaders – breaking generations of physical poverty. Learn more…
