The Need
22% of Students Haven’t Completed Primary School or Have No Education At All
Most students stop their schooling after the age of 11, only 18% have completed secondary education.
In reading assessments, 12% of Dominican students performed below the lowest benchmark.
The out-of-school rate has continued to grow. Close to 250,000 students are missing from the classroom, equaling 10% of all enrolled students.
