Miriam Sawadogo Abibatou is from Burkina Faso

where, in recent years, less than half of all school-aged girls attend primary school. Most girls in her country will drop out of school before they’ve turned 10 and only a quarter of them will complete the fifth grade. The likelihood of child marriage, rate of early childbearing, risk of HIV/AIDS, malnutrition, and becoming a victim of trafficking are all directly affected by a girls’ access to education. For Sub-Saharan Africa, the entire region loses $5.2 billion dollars in economic growth each year from failing to provide education for girls.

By partnering with Edify, you are helping to educate girls in Africa and around the world. Through receiving a quality Christ-centered education in an Edify partner school, students are equipped to escape the clutches of poverty.

We work with education entrepreneurs in low-income countries. Edify provides trainings, access to loan capital, and education technology, helping proprietors sustainably operate and grow their schools. We partner with school proprietors across Africa in Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Ghana, Liberia, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, and Uganda, as well as the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Peru, and Southeast Asia.

Join us in advancing girls’ education in Africa by empowering education entrepreneurs to help girls like Miriam break the cycle of poverty.
